Wedding Car Decoration in Adelaide
Adelaide wedding car decoration. Ribbons, floral arrangements, what limo companies provide. Book today.
Overview
The Adelaide wedding-car decoration convention sits at the minimal end: white ribbon as standard on the bonnet and door handles, a discreet number plate cover, and the chauffeur in formal attire on the kerbside meet. Heavier decoration (floral arches, full sticker dressing, painted signage, mascot vehicles) is rare across the Adelaide market and most operators decline anything that damages the vehicle.

What's included
What's included as standard
Limo Hire Adelaide includes the following on every wedding-day booking.
White ribbon. Tied to the bonnet ornament. The white ribbon, a long-standing Australian wedding-car marker tied to the bonnet ornament or the front grille and to both door handles, signals that the car is part of a wedding party that day. Part visual cue, part tradition.
Discreet number plate cover. A "Just Married" plate cover or a similar discrete piece sits over the plate frame, and we do not block the plate's visibility because the photographer wants the rear of the car to read cleanly in departure shots. Plate stays readable. Standard fit.
Chauffeur in formal attire. Suit, tie, polished shoes. Quiet uniform. The chauffeur is part of the visual register.
Cabin presentation. The cabin is detailed the night before so the bar setup is in place, the mood lighting tested, the glassware ready, and the climate control set; the cabin then reads "wedding day" on the morning without any additional decoration. Detailed overnight. Ready by 7am.
Standard inclusions are part of the booked rate. No extra fee on the booking confirmation. We do not charge extra for white ribbon or the number plate cover on any wedding-day booking across the Adelaide metro area.

What can be added as an upgrade
Bridal-party colour ribbons. Ribbons in the bridal-party colour (navy, sage, blush, ivory) tied alongside the white ribbon. Roughly $45 to $100 per booking.
Custom number plate cover. A bespoke plate cover with the couple's names or the wedding date. Pre-made or custom. Approximately $80 to $150 if pre-made; $200 to $300 for a fully custom design with the wedding date and couple names printed on the frame face.
Cabin interior decoration. Mood lighting in the bridal colour, with some stretch limousines supporting coloured LED accent lighting in the bridal palette. Around $50 to $100 if the vehicle supports it.
Single floral arrangement on the bonnet. A small floral piece. Tied to the bonnet ornament and sourced through the wedding florist, then fitted on the morning by the chauffeur at the kerbside before the bride gets into the car for the venue run. Roughly $100 to $300.
The Lolly's Limousine "Little Luxuries" page is the published Adelaide market reference for itemised decoration costs ($45 to $500 per item).

What we won't do
Painted signage. No paint, no stickers. The paintwork is not modifiable; stickers leave residue and damage the clear coat on removal.
Full sticker dressing. "Just Married" magnetic signs on the doors are sometimes acceptable on a personal car for a registry-office wedding, but they do not belong on a chauffeured stretch or classic car taken from the heritage rotation.
Overgrown floral arches inside the cabin. Arches block the mirror. Floral arches in the cabin can block the chauffeur's view through the partition or the rear-view mirror, and the safety risk outweighs the visual.
Anything that damages the vehicle. No tape, no paint, no drilling. Each vehicle returns to the daily rotation after your wedding-day booking is complete; it cannot return with damage to the trim, the paintwork, or the cabin.
Excessive decoration that obscures the vehicle. Wedding-car visual is meant to read "wedding day" without overwhelming the car itself. Less reads better. Most Adelaide brides find that the white ribbon plus the discreet plate cover is the right level for both the venue arrival shot and the post-reception departure shot.

What we have politely declined
A bride asked. Full red-paint wrap on the stretch for her wedding day. We declined. The wrap would have cost the operator significantly to undo and the visual would have read more like a publicity vehicle than a wedding car.
A couple asked for a mascot car (a vehicle painted in their sports team colours). We declined; the chauffeured wedding-car convention does not extend to sports-themed vehicles, and the visual register for the wedding ceremony venue would have been a poor fit.
A wedding planner asked for a fitted backlit "Mr & Mrs" sign on the bonnet, and we agreed to a removable magnetic version that fits without damage but declined the fitted version that would have required drilling into the bonnet.

Decoration etiquette at the venue
The venue's wedding photographer composes the wedding-day shots around the car. Most Adelaide wedding photographers prefer the minimal-decoration look: white ribbon, clean lines, the architecture of the venue (Mount Lofty House, Stamford Plaza, St Peter's Cathedral) as the visual frame. Heavy decoration competes with the venue and the bridal party.
Discreet decoration also reads better in the wedding-day photos that get printed and framed for the family living room or the couple's first home. Forty years on a mantelpiece.

Timing of the decoration
The vehicle is detailed the night before. The ribbon is tied that evening. The chauffeur arrives at the kerbside 10 minutes early on the morning, with the decoration in place. There is no morning-of-wedding ribbon-tying scramble.
For couples who want to add a floral piece on the morning, the wedding florist delivers the piece directly to the chauffeur's pickup address, where the chauffeur fits the floral on the bonnet at the kerbside before the bride gets in the car.

Florist-coordinated bonnet floral
For couples who want a florist-delivered floral piece on the bonnet, the florist drops the piece at the chauffeur's pickup address on the morning. The chauffeur fits it with a discreet magnetic mount or fitted ribbon ties (no adhesive on the paintwork). Common pieces: a single bloom on the bonnet ornament, a garland along the front grille (suits Bentley and Rolls-Royce profile), or a small bouquet at the windscreen base (works on a stretch). Cost $100 to $300.
Q & A
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers. Anything not covered — call the owner directly any hour.
Is the white ribbon included on an Adelaide wedding car?
Yes. White ribbon is standard on every Limo Hire Adelaide wedding booking. No extra charge.
Can I add ribbons in my wedding colour?
Yes. Ribbons in the bridal-party colour (navy, sage, blush, ivory) are an optional upgrade at approximately $45 to $100 per booking depending on quantity and length needed across the bonnet and door handles.
Can I have flowers on the bonnet?
A small floral piece tied to the bonnet ornament is fine, sourced through your wedding florist and fitted by the chauffeur on the morning at the kerbside before the bride gets in. We do not fit anything that damages the paintwork.
Will you paint the car for my wedding?
No. The paintwork is not modifiable. Ribbons and removable accessories only.
Can I have a "Just Married" sign on the back?
A discreet number plate cover that reads "Just Married" is standard. A larger fitted sign is not, because anything that obstructs the plate or attaches by drilling falls outside the no-damage rule that protects the vehicle for its next booking.
