Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Limo Hire Adelaide(“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. While the small-business exemption in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) may apply to us, we voluntarily handle your personal information consistently with the principles in that Act and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly when you:

  • Submit a quote or booking enquiry through our contact form (name, email, phone, pickup/drop-off details, event date, vehicle preference, any notes you choose to share).
  • Call, email, or message us about a booking.
  • Confirm a booking — billing name, payment confirmation, and any access requirements you disclose for the trip.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this website, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you found us. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide a quote, confirm a booking, and operate the trip.
  • Contact you about your booking (confirmations, dispatch updates, follow-ups).
  • Issue receipts and tax invoices.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, or complaints.
  • Improve our website and the quality of the service we provide.
  • Comply with our legal obligations, including South Australian Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) record-keeping requirements.

We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. If you opt in to receive updates from us (for example, a quote follow-up or a seasonal availability note), you can opt out at any time by replying to the message or contacting us at info@limohireadelaide.com.au.

3. Third parties who process your information

We share the minimum information necessary with a small number of trusted service providers so we can run the business:

  • Resend — transactional email delivery (quote replies, booking confirmations). Resend processes the email content and recipient address only.
  • Google Analytics 4 — pseudonymous analytics data (device identifiers, page views, traffic source). GA4 does not log raw IP addresses. If you are signed into a Google account during your visit, Google may correlate the visit with your account under Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — website hosting and content delivery. Vercel processes standard server-access logs.
  • Our chauffeur and dispatch team, who need pickup details to complete your trip.
  • Government authorities or insurers, where we are required to disclose information by law or to respond to a safety incident.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or list brokers.

4. Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers listed above are based outside Australia and your personal information may be processed or stored overseas:

  • Resend — United States and European Union.
  • Google (Analytics) — United States, with global server presence.
  • Vercel — United States, with global server presence.

By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you consent to your personal information being disclosed to these overseas recipients. We take reasonable steps to ensure each recipient handles your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by entering into the provider’s standard data-protection terms where available.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for two purposes:

  • Essential cookies — required for the contact form and basic site functionality.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are useful and which need improvement. Analytics cookies do not identify you personally.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some functionality may be limited. You can also install the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on to block GA4 tracking site-wide.

6. Data retention

Quote enquiries that do not lead to a booking are retained for up to 12 months so we can respond to follow-up questions. Booking records, invoices, and trip details are retained for a minimum of 7 years to meet Australian tax and PPV record-keeping obligations. After that period, records are securely deleted or de-identified.

7. Security

We protect your information with reasonable safeguards: HTTPS on the website, access controls on our booking systems, and a small named team with access to customer data. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals as soon as practicable and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies to us, we will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with that scheme.

8. Your rights

Consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete.
  • Request that we delete information we no longer reasonably need (subject to our legal obligation to retain certain records, such as tax invoices and PPV operational records).
  • Make a complaint about how we have handled your information.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Bookings for minors (for example, school formals) must be made by a parent, guardian, or school representative who provides their own contact details as the booking holder.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified to active customers by email.
