Terms of Service

The terms that apply to quotes, bookings, and trips with Limo Hire Adelaide.

These terms govern every quote, booking, and trip provided by Limo Hire Adelaide(“we”, “us”, “our”). You enter into these terms when you confirm a quote in writing, when you tick the consent box on our quote-request form, or when you board one of our vehicles, whichever occurs first. If you are booking on behalf of another person or a group, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.

1. Quotes and bookings

  • Quotes are written, itemised, and valid for the period stated on the quote (typically 14 days unless otherwise specified).
  • A booking is confirmed only when we send a written booking confirmation. A phone or email enquiry alone does not reserve a vehicle.
  • The booking confirmation sets out the agreed vehicle class, chauffeur (where named), pickup and drop-off addresses, dates and times, price, and any conditions specific to that trip.
  • Changes to a confirmed booking — vehicle class, route, timing, passenger count — depend on availability and may change the price. We will reconfirm any change in writing before applying it.

2. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
  • Deposit, payment method, and balance terms are stated on the booking confirmation.
  • Tolls, parking, official-vehicle fees, and waiting time outside the agreed schedule are charged in addition to the quoted price unless explicitly itemised as included.
  • Tax invoices are issued on request and to all corporate bookings.

3. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation windows, deposit treatment, and refund eligibility are set out in our Cancellation Policy and on your individual booking confirmation. The booking confirmation governs your specific trip if there is any inconsistency between it and these general terms.

4. Passenger conduct

Our chauffeurs operate under South Australian Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) standards. To keep every passenger safe, we ask that you:

  • Wear seatbelts at all times while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Follow reasonable instructions from the chauffeur regarding safety, capacity, and route.
  • Do not consume illegal substances in the vehicle.
  • Do not behave in a way that endangers the chauffeur, other passengers, the vehicle, or other road users.

The chauffeur may end a trip at any time if a passenger’s conduct creates a safety risk or breaches these terms. No refund is owed for a trip ended for safety or conduct reasons.

5. Alcohol, smoking, and food

  • BYO alcohol is permitted in private-hire stretch limousines and party vehicles for passengers aged 18 and over, subject to the conditions on your booking confirmation. We do not supply alcohol.
  • School-formal bookings are strictly no alcohol, no exceptions.
  • Our chauffeur may refuse to allow, or may remove, alcohol from a passenger they reasonably consider intoxicated or where the chauffeur judges continued consumption to be unsafe.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any vehicle at any time.
  • Food and open containers are permitted with the chauffeur’s prior agreement.

6. Vehicle damage and cleaning

Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to a vehicle during the booking beyond normal use. A cleaning fee applies where excessive cleaning is required after the trip (for example, spilled drinks, food, or bodily fluids). The fee is charged at the actual cost of professional cleaning or, where the vehicle is unable to be re-deployed for a following booking, the value of the missed booking.

7. Vehicle substitution

If your nominated vehicle becomes mechanically unavailable, we will substitute an equivalent or higher-class vehicle from our network at no additional cost. If we are unable to source a substitute, we will refund the booking in full and contact you as early as practicable.

8. Delays and waiting time

  • We allow reasonable grace time at pickup at no extra charge — typically 15 minutes for standard bookings and 60 minutes for airport pickups (we track the flight).
  • Waiting time beyond the grace window is charged at the rate stated on your booking confirmation.
  • We will use due care and skill to plan around known traffic and event conditions in Adelaide. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as unforeseeable accidents, severe weather, or government road closures). We will keep you informed and re-route where possible.

9. Lost property

We do our best to return items left in our vehicles. Notify us within 24 hours of the trip and we will check the vehicle and arrange return. Shipping costs are at the owner’s expense.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract. To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability for failure to comply with a non-excludable consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to re-supply of the service or payment of the cost of re-supply.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss (for example, missed flights, lost income), except where caused by our negligence and to the extent the law does not allow that liability to be excluded.
  • We hold the public liability insurance required by South Australian law to operate a Public Passenger Vehicle.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, photography, video, schema markup, and design — is owned by Limo Hire Adelaide or used under licence. You may not reproduce, republish, or adapt content from this site without our prior written permission, except as permitted by the fair dealing provisions of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

12. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any dispute arising under these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the version published on this page on the date of your booking confirmation. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
